Our home.
It's pretty loud, usually full of (many) kids, sometimes messy, mostly fun and always welcoming.
With a home full of this many (plus extra) kiddos, sometimes the messes abound. Oftentimes I get down on myself because I can't keep up. I need one of those "mothers helpers" haha! (is that even what they're called?) thankful for grace.
(Kyler's editing skillz with his buddy J)
Our family -here as of this current school year- has 4 activities/lessons on certain days of our week.
Craziness.
These kids, they are growing & thriving. I'm getting in my groove too.
We are good & on top of the game.
(This is spoken from a humbled mom who almost went bat*CraZy -in the past- with previous schedules).
I always want to make sure we move slowly enough to enjoy. To stop and look around and realize how seriously blessed we are. Wouldn't it be tragic to live life in such a fast lane that we didn't stop to take it all in?
Kyler is a child who makes me sloWwWw down. He's an "old soul" who talks deeply. He leaves me random notes all. The. Time. Usually it's when he needs extra snuggles or love. But sometimes it's "just because". Like today.
He's smart as a whip, stands up to bullies, and kind as I've ever seen. He sees the best in EVERYONE.
Truly.
I hope & pray the world never hardens his heart.
He handed me today's note and said: I went to the park and wrote this for you. I can think better when I'm outside and it's quiet.
MOM
I love you so.
You do my hair.
You swim with me.
No matter how far we are,
we will always be together.
Love,
Kyler
Anyway, I know the world gives accolades for accomplishments but I like to acknowledge character and heart. And this kid deserves a gold for both
Someday I'll write as eloquently as my 7 year old :)
