An ordinary summer day

I LoVe "a day in the life" series that bloggers do. It's the perfect way to remember what times were like in that season of life.
A few min ago I snapped some pics of the sights of summer around here. Grainy and imperfect but it's a beautiful messy glimpse of our zoo!
Cherries still sitting on the table from the lunch we enjoyed with Nicci today.
Brooklyn's cookies baking in the oven (that I'm babysitting as she swims right now). She had to add lib for some missing ingredients.
I don't have the heart to tell her they taste terrible. Kyler just took a bite of one and said "hmmm wow - I think I'll save this" (while putting it under a dish towel)

:)) bless his heart.
Refreshed by homemade passion fruit tea -we now drink daily from our tea maker that Kara gave me for my birthday.
No more Bux runs!
Summer decor means layering our entire home in patriotic decor. That could be a whole other post :) I love the seasons
Celebrating right now, the last of our time with a sweet friend, who's moving to Idaho at the end of the summer.

A backyard of kids soaking up sunshine and laughs. I'm choosing to ignore for now, the mess of a kitchen, wet soppy towels covering the house, and 113* temps.
Because we have a 6 ft white striped tiger in our backyard (we were fortunate enough to get for free).
How does life get better?
It doesn't.
