This morning, John suggested that we put up Christmas decor and run the girls out to buy winter clothes since it was our only "free" day we'll have until Dec.
All I could think though, was that:
1- I need to put away the remainder of our fall decor first (it's 1/4 done).
And
2- I can't allow these girls to buy one article of clothing until their closets are purged and the "hand me down" bags in the garage have been completely gone through & dispersed.
((We are blessed that we have several "donors" friends who give us their outgrown clothes.
The flip side to that is that we end up with SOOO many clothes (which I realize is a -first world- problem))
So I pulled out every last bag/tote and set timer for 20 min- told the girls we'd work that long on sorting. We ended up 1 hour and 20 min into working before someone realized it was "time".
I'm trying SO hard to not be crabby and keep my focus on being productive. But have mercy...we are a long way from our goal. Thankfully the kids don't notice much that their mom is halfway into the fetal position :)
After half a dozen sibling fights and hours of work in getting our home back into order, I decided a "mommy vacation" was in order.
I ran to Walmart and picked up the Veterans Day parade goodies I had promised to bring for Brayden's preschool tomo.
I found myself so relaxed and 'human' again, walking aisles of the grocery store, that I decided I'm really not that crazy/crabby afterall. I just need a "destination vacation".
Alone.
Walmart will do.
Arrived home to see the official "spy play" blooming with our neighbor boy. Sisters totally orchestrating the details.
Tomo marks the beginning of our "isagenix challenge" of healthy living. The initial 9 day cleanse should be fun :) chuck, john and I committing (misery loves company?)
