My regular 5:15 AM alarm was shut off by a momma desperately needing extra zzz's.
I awoke to a sleepy preschooler yawning at 8 am, crawling into my bed. And the extra hours of sleep felt amazing.
A lap of luxury, really.
John went on an early morning run and brought home waffle crush (food truck) breakfast for us.
I was still full from thanksgiving dinner the night before but I managed to make room :)
We stuffed Christmas cards, stamped envelopes and watched holiday shows.
Many hands make work lighter.
Christmas music hummed, pine candle burned.
Sometimes doing nothing at all is the best medicine for a hurried soul.
While many shoppers hustled and bustled for Black Friday, we laid low and took cover.
It was 7:00 pm and Brayden couldn't keep his eyes open any longer. The thanksgiving festivities from the week had worn him clean out.
Let us remember to slow & enjoy the "little things"
