Jr High Ready

Loaded up these cute
JUNIOR HIGHER's today,
One by one (kept my cell phone handy for pics)
And headed to their new school.
A HuGe campus that makes the butterflies swarm in my stomach.

Ready or Not...
Here we come!
The hunt for outdoor lockers...

Today's meet and greet at jr high was eye opening for me. My graduating class had 40 kids. That's about how many were waiting to use a bathroom.

I thought this was going to be really hard. And I shed (many) tears as elementary school ended. But I feel like she's ready & prepared.
Kayli's so excited about the next step.
I am happy for her & believe in her.
Not that she'll make all the right decisions.  I don't expect her to.

But I know she'll learn and grow. And stay true to herself. I know she has AmAzInG friendships that are solid. I know she avoids drama and she never gives up on anything important to her. Ever. ((Like below, 20 attempts to open her locker, haha!  Sweet victory :))
These girls have gone from little ones on the playground to 7th graders in the blink of an eye.
Watching them thrive and grow up together is something I don't take for granted. And I hope these girls don't either.
So I'm choosing to embrace where we are in life. I know it's not all smooth sailing. Jr High has a reputation for being a "beast" (c'mon I bet you can remember)
But these girls have a solid foundation

and a bright future ahead.

Watch them go...
